Back to school is upon us which means the start of treatment season! Since we are spending less time in direct contact with the sun, now is the perfect time to try more intense skin care treatments that require more care pre and post treatment. Here are 5 of our favorite skin care services that are a must for the fall!
- MicroNeedling
At NIMA, we use a device called the SkinPen. By safely creating microchannels in your skin, a natural head start is given to the healing process, which creates more collagen and strong fibers, resulting in your skin being smoother and firmer. The microchannels created by the SkinPen also allow the chemical peel products to more easily penetrate the skin, making for better absorption and better results.
MicroNeedling is an ideal treatment for:
- Better chemical peel results
- Improving acne scars and other marks
- Lessening pigmentation
- Enhancing skin texture
- Enhancing fine lines

2. IPL
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is otherwise known as the photofacial. For more than a decade, the photofacial has been considered the top choice in the world of facial rejuvenation. Utilizing the light, we attempt to resolve multiple issues at once with IPL. Today, the photofacial is still known as the ideal treatment for pigmentation, clearing away sunspots and age spots all at once. IPL is different from a laser, because while a laser uses a single wavelength, IPL uses a wide spectrum of pulsing wavelengths. This is how IPL treats so many different conditions in a single treatment.
This is an ideal treatment for:
- Pigmentation
- Redness
- Facial veins
- Large pores
- Fine lines
3. Chemical Peels
There are multiple different types of peels that can target concerns from pigmentation, acne, scaring, to improving skin texture, eliminating dead skin, and more. Some peels are mild and attempt to hydrate the skin, while more intense peels work to significantly reduce pigmentation. Depending on which chemical peel is applied, we recommend incorporating chemical peel treatments into a normal skin care regimen, typically involving monthly treatments.
4. Vampire Facial Plus®
For anyone wishing to prevent signs of early aging, this treatment is perfect for you! The VampireFacial® utilizes your own PRP to create rejuvenating effects for your skin. For the VampireFacial®, we draw your blood and separate the PRP, and once the PRP is in its purest form, we inject it back into your tissues with a microneedle. The PRP aids in your body’s production of collage, enhances your structure, and improves the appearance of the skin.
5. eMatrix®
At NIMA Spas, eMatrix® is the foundation of skin rejuvenation. eMatrix® uses radio frequencies to create microchannels of heat within you skin, which makes you generate elastin and collagen naturally leading to more youthful skin. The treatment is a favorite of our clients, and we know you’ll love it.
This is an ideal treatment for:
- Large pores
- Skin texture
- Skin elasticity
- Collagen production
- Appearance of scarring
If you want to improve the look of your skin and don’t know where to start, let our experts help you! We can customize a routine and treatments that will achieve your beauty goals and help you feel good in your skin.
