Our Injector will utilize numbing, icing and other advanced techniques to ensure maximum possible comfort during the treatment. Dermal fillers when injected by an experienced aesthetic injector are a fairly comfortable treatment. Depending on the area being treated and the technique being utilized, the comfort level may vary.
Dermal filler injections are a procedure with very little risk of side effects or negative reactions, shown by decades worth of clinical studies. Side effects are rare, but are limited to bruising or tenderness around the site of the injection. Our experienced injectors work with you to review all potential results of the treatment, and will answer all of your questions.
BOTOX® and Dermal Fillers are two different types of injectables. Both are injected in the skin with a needle. The difference between Botox and Dermal Fillers is that Botox is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by paralyzing the muscles, fillers on the other hand are used to fill in wrinkles.
Depending on the amount of product used and your individual metabolism, results vary from client to client. Including the preparation of skin, the treatment may take anywhere from 45 - 60 minutes. Because of its complementary nature, we often pair microneedling with another treatment, such as chemical peels.
Following the treatment, you should plan to avoid extended exposure to sun until your skin is completely healed. Pinpoint bleeding will be seen during the procedure, causing the skin afterward to be tender and red for up to 48 hours.
Here at NIMA, microneedling is recommended approximately every 6 - 8 weeks. We may recommend more frequent treatments if you are looking to resolve a certain concern, such as acne scarring.
- Consult your Aesthetician in training for a customized treatment plan and home care recommendations.

- Allow peeling to occur naturally; do not pick or force it.
